Har fått mejl från Scientologernas PR-kille i Sverige. Funderar på ett svar. Några förslag från er läsare? Är inte helt säker på vilket sätt han menar att jag har kränkt dem. Brevet följer här.
Dear Håkan Järvå,
I would like to bring one thing under your attention. It seems to me
that you are not fully conversant with the following facts.
Scientology has been fully and officially registered as a belief
organization. It has also been granted full tax exemption in Sweden as
a non profit organization in 1999, after determining that the Church
pursues a religious purpose as required under the law.
On March 13, 2000, the National Judicial Board for Public Lands &
Funds (Kammarkollegiet, National Administration of Religions)
registered the Church of Scientology Sweden as a religious community
and two months later granted Scientology ministers the right to
perform marriages with legal validity, thereby fully recognizing
Scientology as a religion for all of Sweden. In a four-page statement
issued at the time of registration, the National Judicial Board
outlined the religious character, permanence and organization of the
Church of Scientology and concluded that Scientology fully meets the
criteria for recognition as a religion.
In your publications, both verbally and in writing, you have made
statements regarding the Church and its religion which are not
particularly according to the above decisions regarding the status of
the Scientology community in Sweden.
Due to the above decisions the Swedish Scientology community enjoys
protection from the Swedish Constitution. To label it in any other way
is a contravention of the above.
I hope that you will take a few moments to consider this with the
above decisions from those Swedish governmental instruments in mind.
If you have any questions feel free to communicate those to my above
